Here at Wellness Garden, we use SunSauna®. SunSauna® is thethe only sauna manufacturer able to offer light therapy (photo-therapy) along side infrared heat. The patented combination of Full-Spectrum light and near, mid and far infrared waves is what differentiates SunSauna® from every other sauna manufacturer in the world.
Individually both Full-Spectrum light and full infrared heat are of huge benefit to health and wellness. Light therapy alone offers relief from SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder) as well as non-seasonal depression, it also helps the body produce/regulate important body chemistry such as seratonin, melatonin, endorphins and Vitamin-D.
When full Infrared heat is added to Full-Spectrum Light therapy the benefits of each are multiplied exponentially. For example, while light therapy is assisting in endorphin production, the infrared heat is opening the blood vessels and increasing circulation to further spread those endorphins through the body.
What is light therapy?
Light therapy (also known as phototherapy) consists of exposure to daylight or lighting similar in composition to daylight, using Full-Spectrum light systems. In light therapy the light is administered for a prescribed amount of time and, in some cases, at a specific time of day.
A common use of light therapy is associated with treatment of skin disorders, chiefly psoriasis, acne vulgaris, eczema and neonatal jaundice.
Light therapy is used to treat circadian rhythm disorders such as delayed sleep phase disorder and is also very effective in treating SAD – Seasonal Affective disorder as well as non-seasonal psychiatric disorders and despression.
What is it used for?
Improve Mood, Boost Energy
When our body is exposed to light, it triggers our pineal gland to product serotonin and other endorphins. These endorphins help improve mood and boost energy levels. This light is used to treat S.A.D. which is common in the short and dark winter days.
Immune System Boost
By increasing body temperature and inducing a false fever, infrared heat helps to boost your immune system response. This can help to prevent colds or sickness. As the infrared heat penetrates deeper to the cellulite layer it flushes stored toxins and increases blood circulation.
SunSauna’s infrared heat can provide 9-20 times greater detoxification of heavy metals; such as lead, aluminum, cadmium, and mercury, as well as fat soluble organic toxins. In addition, infrared heat can produce 3 times more sweat than conventional hot air saunas.
Pain Relief and Reduction
SunSauna’s deep infrared heat penetrates 1-1/2″ beneath the skin to each muscles and join tissues. The radiant heat can reduce lactic acid, which reduces the soreness and stiffness caused by strenuous exercise.
SunSauna helps to reduce stress and improve overall well-being. Far infrared heat deeply relaxes tense muscles while full spectrum light boosts your body level of serotonin.
A session in a SunSauna increases your bodies heart rate, blood flow and metabolic rate. Just 20 minutes provides a cardiovascular workout similar to a 2-3 mile run or 30 minutes of aerobics. Even NASA has used infrared passive exercise as a way to keep astronauts fit during space flights.
SunSauna’s act as a body balancing system to keep your bodys primary functions in check. Far infrared heat can help regulate blood pressure, digestion, immune function and circadian rhythm. While full spectrum light can help with insomnia by resetting our internal clock.
When it comes to burning calories, infrared heat from SunSauna’s have been clinically shown to dramatically aid in weight loss. Regular use of a SunSauna may be an effective means of cardiovascular conditioning and burning calories, akin to regular exercise.
What’s the difference between SunSauna® Full-Spectrum light and “full spectrum infrared” offered by other companies.
SunSauna® provides its patented combination of Full-Spectrum light and infrared using a proprietary light box that luminates at over 10,000lux of natural visible light
Do other forms of light mimic the Sun like Neodymium light does?
No. Normal incandescent bulbs and florescent bulbs cannot produce as brilliant white as can Neodymium bulbs can. This is why the Neodymium bulbs are used in greenhouses to provide almost natural sunlight to plants who would otherwise parish without the life-giving light.
Can I get a sunburn from Full-Spectrum Neodymium?
Absolutely NOT! You will never acquire a “sunburn” from any neodymium type bulb. The bulbs produce light as it is perceived from natural sunlight, and gives a greater color rendition as well as generating a brighter, whiter light. Our bulbs do NOT produce harmful UV rays, that bulbs in tanning beds are capable of producing.
